sounds like you have a tall order in front of you, with limited funding and for fabrication facilities an hour away.

Good thing you need to fabricate everything cause you can't afford to buy it anyways, :)

the Jags That Run S10 V8 Swap manual has alot of pics, it even has the plans for motor mounts which make help justify the cost.

and really far forward, as in like 14" behind the bumper. that also makes short tires unfortunate bc the smaller you go the more it has a chance to hit first.

Stock83, please do some research. PLEASE. You are asking questions that have been gone over 9 bazillion times. It's really hard to answer questions when you aren't even sure what you are asking.

This is not a fly-by-night swap. There is alot of thinking that goes into it.

well hey im sorry that i just got in the blazin low site and dont

have time to look through 6 billion pages that dont tell me

anything and might not be able to understand and since im low

on time i dont really think id be able to sit at the computer when

im workin on the truck i need to know this stuff so far thanks to

jsp ive got plenty of info that i understand and dont think ill have

a problem i know how to use the search button and do use it alot

but like i said if i dont understand it or the thread is dead what a

waste of time especially when i need to get it done 2 weeks from

now if that truck isnt running in 2 weeks im walkin and living on

the street ok so dont push me around sayin i need to search my

ass doesnt have the time to play im gettin the answers i

need and i appreciate them the v8 for me is going to be the

cheapest and easiest way to get the truck runnin

i know its not a easy swap for beginners but i have said i have

help and the problem is my deadline to have it movin is the 14th

and your not helpin s/t so please either help or stay out of the

thread sorry to get so upset but shit i asked for to know

everything because i do so that im not gonna be living on the

street or freezin to death on the way to work now do you want

to flame a new guy anymore cause im sure if you were in the

same situation youd be askin some of the same ????s or

someone who could do it for you so if it makes you feel better im

sorry im askin ????s that are repetitive to you but they are new

to me and for anyone else that thinks i have annoyed them then

just put me on ignore i dont really care but if i need to know

something and i cant find it or understand it ill ask no matter how

many times someone else has heard it besides i have seen

someone on this site say they can do the swap in only 4 hours or

so now i understand now trail i had to read it like 13 times it

didnt make sense about smaller tires which im not worried about

cause its stock until i can afford wheels and tires no disrespect

s/t but please add to the post not remind me that its been done

    before

lol, this had been mentioned before and im goign to mention it again. If this has the be running by the 14th, why the hell do you care about lowering it or ANYTHING but the engine swap. All the time your asking questions about that cant you be working on the drivetrain?

And double spacing doesnt really help us, its the periods and paragraphs btw.

do u even have a motor and tranny ready?????

    i doubt you do

do u have all the fluids ready

do u have mounts and headers

do u have mufflers and piping

    do u have a radiator

i doubt you have anything ready. so if u were smart and actually did search you would know you need all that plus more to even run into any problems yet that may not be in any threads.

so youve got pennies for the swap and a few weeks????? rofl your fucked newbi better save your money and go by a nice jacket to wear to work every day

    gotta love the honesty.

To be honest myself, I really am lost as to what is really being started with

    3.4 with a T350 and still has the 4wd ???

you listed the motor is a 350 but I'm not sure what its operational status is, let alone flex plate and starter, distributer type (non computor or computor), power steering, alternator, fans.

do you have a radiator with a tranny cooler?

    tranny lines and a bender.

after market shifter is the easiest although a rod through the floor works well to ( JSP stock car shifter special :)

    Talking better v8 swap info

ok have you been in the engine drivetrain section lately???????

guys this thread has had more people look at it than just about

all of them excluding the ones with pics!!!!!!! i went searching

for a better forum to find info from. they even had videos of the

swap, but you had topay to start the membership.

the sites name is s10v8conversion.com easier to search.

so for the visual learners like me and for all those guys wanting

pics of what to do or what to do try that site.

even without subscribing i found out more about my year model,

what i needed, where to get the things i needed, and o did i

mention they have videos of the swap!!!!!!!!!!! i would like to

say thanks to the guys that helped me in this forum, but i dont

    really think i got help.

think i was gettin sucked into a circle jerk.

Ok, its time to set you straight.

Randomly typing huge paragraphs together is difficult to read, and hard to understand. Without separations and punctuation, your gonna get little help.

Your asking questions in a round about way, and expect exact answers.

Your taking about dropping the truck, asking about rewiring the truck, fabricating a crossmember, etc...yet need to have this done at a certain time?

A V8 conversion isnt a motor swap, where you pull the old motor out, and replace it with a new one. Its a conversion requiring custom parts, lots of patience, and more importantly money.

You dont have a cherry picker, cant afford one, yet have to have a v8 conversion done in record time so you have something to drive through the winter?

Basically, your coming off as a jackass, and a lot of what you type doesnt make sense or contradicts.

You need this truck done so bad so you can have winter vehicle? Then swapping the motor thats in it, out for another one, would be the easiest and cheapest option.
