with all this talk of exhaust note and tones I thought I had logged in to RICER forum.

I've got one of each in the shop. :)

In VERY round numbers LT1 330 vs LS1 345 hp.

LT1's are easier to acquire and install and run very well.

LS1's run well too although you will get into modding the crossmember / frame.

The firewall is fine, ECM's will get modded on either

My LS1 is faster than My dad's LT1 but slower than my Roadster with an LT1.

And to remain consistant with the thread, they all sound like a V8.
I prefer turbo style mufflers that are quiet until you are into it all the way.

Well Ill probably go with an lt1 because im gonna pay a shop to do it and would like to keep the labor and all down. I was planning on upgrading it a tad anyways, maybe lt4 heads and cam and ofcourse headers. Should be plenty of power for a daily and still stomp a damn honda

I saw a vette with that motor go through Barrett Jackson for $25,000 and was very surprised considering all the leg humpin' that was going on when they first came out.

I was extremely surprized when I was what I though was a lack of a "0"

    25,000 vs 250,000

being that the engine was so rare.

    I have a ZR1 roll pan just waiting :D

Only the ZR-1 Corvette's came with the LT5, all the others still had the LT1

In 1095, Pope Urban II commanded the beginning of the most heinous period ever documented: The Crusades. While killing over 100,000 Turks in 1098, the Christians "did no other harm to the women found in [the enemy's] tents - save that they ran their lances through their bellies," according to Christian chronicler Fulcher of Chartres.
