    blown engine

well I took my truck to a 2 different shops and I was told by both that my engine is cooked... so now my question is what do you all think i should replace it with.. its a 1998 4 door chevy tahoe 4wd with a 6 inch lift nd 35's and I want a motor thats mostly low end... it's gotta be able 2 handle offroading and street driving... I'm looking more towards just a crate motor if anything i dont wanna rebuild mine or buy a block and rebuild it. so any advice would be greatly appreciatted

The only advice is what phatfarmer said....put a smallblock in it and be done with it. I would replace the tranny with a TH350 if it was me though...
