i did it because it looks better than the stock. im thinking of some other ideas, such as billet insert or a chome one piece. the local place where i got the bummper has the chrome one piece for 45. the bummper was 55.

That's a pretty good price. I think the billet would look good.

well i had a hell of a week. sunday went out to start her up to go to the local cruise night and the battery was dead. put it on the charger and tried it again 2 hours later and nothing so i look it to autozone. they tested it said it was bad and gave me a new one. sure glad i paid for a battery with 3 year free replacment. then sunday went to pop the hood and the cable release broke. all the local parts stores were out of stock and couldnt order it from the vendors. all the online store also out of stock. so iwent to the dealer and it was 52 bucks with a one year free replacment. then sunday truck wouldnt start so i pulled the alternator off and had that and they battery tested. the battery was ok alternator was bad. so i got a remand 105 amp with a life life warranty for 96 bucks. so all is well for now

    ****UPDATE****

Started the wheel tubs night before last. worked on it a little last night and im gonna do some more today. im uploading pictures to photobucket now so should be posted in the next half hour.

    ****THE PLAN****

my plan is to install the tubs, then as soon as those are in im gonna weld in some 1x1 inch 16ga tubing as the cross bracing. then im going to weld in a subfloor with the 1x1 tubbing. then we are gonna make templets and weld 16 ga sheet metal in over the tubing. the reason i wanta do this is to make the rear stronger. I then plan on covering it all with carpet and beauty boards. I also want make a nice sheet metal cover for the tank and comps that are in the rear. i know its gonna be heavier but i think it will be worth it. i also wanta try and make a back single seat for my daughters car seat or a friend. there is i nice heavy duty cross member for the upper link that should help supprt the weight of a person in the rear.

    ****THE MATERIALS****

    1. 2 32 inch 16 gauge suicide door tubs they were free.
    2. 2 20 foot 1x1 square tubbing 16 gauge
    3. 1-2 4x8 16gauge sheets of sheet metal.
    4. 5- 10 cans black primer
what should i use to seal it so i dont get any exhaust leaks????
If im forgetting anything let me know

    ****TOOLS****

If im forgetting anything or you know of any tools that will make it a little easyier let me know.
Im using what i and friends got.

    1. Lincoln 110 volt wire feed with steel mix
    2. 4 1/2 inch angle grinder with cutt off wheels and grinding wheels
    3. chop saw for straight and 45 degree cuts.
    4. misc hand tools

IF YOU HAVE ANY COMMENTS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEY ME KNOW WHT YOU THINK. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

you cant really see it in the picture but there is a small 1 inch gap at the top of the tub. so we desided to move the tub up vertically. so there wouldnt be a gap on the top. only problem is it created a gap at the bottom. we are gonna fill it in with filler plates.which is easyier to hide under the beautty boards and carpet then it would be on the top of the tub. we cutt to much off the bottom half of the tub. :nono:  :( :nono: so on the passenger side we wont do that.
