I'm hoping to drop my 02X another 2/3. . . how much can I expect to spend on the kit? Also does anyone have any more detailed instructions on griding the control arm? Perhaps more pictures?

Hey man the upper control arm just need to grind the area where the spindle hits the UCA use a sharpie to mark the arm when it is up on jack stands and turn it lock to lock and clearance to 1/8th inch of the spindle or whatever you feel comfortable with removing.

if you lower spindles and blocks mostly the same .. since the geometry stays the same ...
youll want to watch more for the road imperfections since youll be closer to it ...

im dropped 2/4 more than the zq8 suspension ( xtreme ) and i love the ride ... but gonna bag this summer since it aint low enough

The ride of the kit was pretty good, little choppy in the rear. Put on some BFG Traction T/A's and the thing will ride and handle like it's on rails! Wheel and Tire combo makes all the difference.

for those that have lowered the rear 3inch, does the axle hit the frame on the bumps at all?

I've had my lowered with 3 inch blocks for 3 years and I've never once felt the axle hit. You've just gotta be careful is all it is. I've noticed alot that I look at the road about 50 feet in front to look for potholes. I also know where they are in my area so I just swerve around 'em.

I personally don't have drop leafs (although I wish I did. It sits kinda high) I would have to assume they sell 'em in a kit of sorts.

Just do a quick google search and you'll probably find something.

    4" Block

My 98 blazer had extreme leafs and square 4" lowering blocks when I bought it. 17 x 11 x 315 x 35 ZR1 wheels, Hit hard on mediam bumps & driveline vibration 90+ MPH. Changed to 3" angled blocks and put the extreme sway bar on. Never bottoms now and drive line angle is good. 4" blocks with low pro tires might cause a crash when tire goes down. Shock mount will hit before rim. :nono:

Anyone needing some info on the spindles before buying them, check out my cardomain, page 6. Pictures and copies of all of the install instructions - including trimming the control arms.

Thanks man. They were on the truck when I bought it. They don't make them anymore. I was trying to sell them for a while so I could drop down to 18"s, but I didn't have any luck. They do look damn good on there though. :bigthumb:

Why did you want to drop to 18's, are you still selling? I'm in the market and not too far away. I noticed the pics you have of your truck in STL
