    fitting question

Is there a trick to removing close nipples without trashing them in a vise? I have already ruined one.

if you are talking about the ones without the piece in the middle to put a wrench on. You can try a pipe wrench.

yeah, there is no piece in the middle...a pipe wrench won't damage the threads? I guess I am not sure what you mean by pipe wrench.

find a couple npt nuts that will fit and make yourself a jamnut with them. thread one nut down half way, thread the second on and tighten it against the first. Put your wrench on your first and thread it off like you normally would.

use a hex nipple whenever possible well worth the extra 3/8" and stronger too IMO
