    conversion questions

    i already checked the sticky!!! i am puting a lt1 and 4l60e out of a 94 camaro into a 98 gmc jimmy 4.3 4door 2wd. I heard that i can use the headers because they are from a camaro. As well as hte original 4.3 radiator with my taurus e-fan. is this true and also which motor mounts do i order? thanks
    they said it couldnt be done so i did it

    You are going to need s10 conversion headers. If you don't use them, you won't clear the firewall or steering shaft.


    You can use the 4.3 rad with the Taurus fan.


    Motor mounts, its up to you, although I would suggest the 2.8 mounts for the frame.

    gonna keep it mostly stock (daily driver). do the 2.8 motor mounts require any mods. and about how much is the painless wiring harness. thanks again

    the 2.8 mounts do not require any mods in a first gen, never delt with a 2nd gen before. i would think it would be the same. the painless harness is just under $600. worthit IMO, plug and play harness with everything labeled and a free hotline.

    Same on my 2nd gen, even reused my frame mounts I was using with my 1st gen.

    You said headers, but did you really mean you have the camaros cast iron exhaust manifolds?
