    another LT1 swap

I'm finally going to do my LT1 swap. My Bravada was falling apart so a 93 2wd is the next inline for it. Question(s): (1)has anyone used a caprice or roadmaster for a LT1 swap? (2) is there more, less, or the same amount of modification needed as if it were a swap from a camaro? (3)some one told me that all LT1 harnesses were OBD2 even pre 96 is that true? any info would help Thanks guys.:bigthumb:

I'm using an LT1 from a 9C1 Caprice. I think the only external difference that would effect a swap is the exhaust manifolds, but I don't think the factory LT1 manifolds will fit in a Bravada anyway. And the older LT's are OBD1. Mine is a '94, OBD1....

95 and earlier are OBD1 but the 95 uses an OBD II connector under the dash.

I don't know anything about the Caprice swap. I did the Camaro swap about 3 years ago. The only clearance problem I had was the passenger side exhaust hitting the frame. I deleted the A/C and used custom brackets for the alternator.

I have a few pics and can answer some of your questions.
