Also, you ever get your guides milled down or are these stock heads?
the stock Vortec 350 cam is the same cam used in the LT1 used in the ImpalaSS 94-94 and the Roadmaster. 260 hp bet rating, 255 in teh vortec 350. The specs are .412"/.429" and 192°/197° on a 111°LSA. The 1.6:1 rockers will bring the lift up to .442/.459" lift and will increase duration at .050" to 193°/198° roughly.

    heads are stock

yeah yeah.....talked to a engine builder about it and he said i could leave them on since the intake will be off......as long as i go slow, grease the bit, and put a piece of paper/cardboard with a grease line under the pushrod hole and drill them out......not sure if i will or not though..still have shipping time to think.........

Well... as I said before, more than a couple people have advised against it and you're still set on leaving them on. I can see where an engine builder would do it because to some of them time is money and they will do whatever is quickest without telling the customer. When it's your own stuff, just do it right. It's not like taking a couple extra hours (max) to pull the heads off is going to cost you money. Not saying that that is the case with who you spoke with... but. To be honest when you said in this thread that you were going to pull the heads afterall, I didn't believe you. Call me an ass, but I didn't. Have fun with that.

i hear you can use corvette springs and they work fine..... if not, jegs and summit carry low profile springs specifically for those applications.

Thats good to hear. Man you really really should see if you cant scrounge up some money for a cam, this is the perfect time. You dont have to buy an expensive ass comp cam either.
