who says you cant lower a 4x4???
you can drop it to a certain point...
but you cant SLAM it to the ground
i plan to lower my 92 by adjusting the torsion bar in front, and getting lowered leaf springs for the back
ill get at least 2-3 inches out of that
    then
with larger rims, itll look even lower

You can get lower a 4x4 only a couple of inches in the front by the torison bars. If you call Belltech and ask about a 4x4 lowering kit. They make new torsion keys so you can lower it more. I think it's 3-4 inches with the new keys and new leaf springs as a kit that you can get from summit with Belltech's part number for about $350.

I've got a 4x4 that I dropped 6/5. I cost nothing more than the blocks/leafs for the back. I have e-mailed Blazinlow a few times for the full information for his 'Drop' section. Anyone who would like the details just ask.

I would definentely like to know how to get a 6/5 drop out of my 86 4x4 blazer. and if you know, i would like to know how much. a auto store i went to once told me about $1000 and i said fu*k that i'd be better off just selling it and getting a 2wd blazer. but i really want to keep this blazer now because it's in pretty good condition and i've started to do alot of interior work.
