    Question Cheep Preformance

what are the best preformance mods that are cheep.

Cheep as in less than $300 a piece.

I have a 1996 4 door 4X4 with a glass pack and cool air intake, lowered 2/3, and with 100 lbs of stereo in the back. and i just want a little more power.

Ill do just about anyting short of taking the engine out. I drive this as a daily driver and i just want a little more power on 87-89 octane.

Electric fans. Flex-a-Lite FLX-210's you can get from summit for around 260. Good mileage and performance gains. If its installed properly, you can daily drive it without a problem and even works with your a/c. I have been driving on a set in one blazer to the next for 4 years now. Great stuff

Under drive pulleys from Summit $80 - no matter what anyone says, they do free up some power especially when the A/c is on.

MSD Ignition - Great for the low rpms

B&M Shift Improver - Lessens slippage and heat, makes better use of power.

Speaking of tbi, do the "ultimate tbi mods, and adjustable fuel pressure mod" listed on the thirdgen.org page, which are both free.

I would do the adjustable fuel pressure mod but the hole description is complicated and drawn out and to be honest i just dont see the need.

as for the ultimate tbi mods most of them are about high flow air intakes and iv already done that and the other mods are also way to complicated for the amount of power gain there would be.

maby if the site was better built and the tuts had some pics then i would think of undertaking some of these mods

what do you guys think of this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Racin...QQcmdZViewItem

i think this is a good idea, and if it worked then i think everyone should get one. although it could "hurt gas milage due to making the alternator charge more" i think the gains would way out weigh the pull on the alternator. i would for u guys to tell me this is possibly a good deal but im afraid that it 2-3 lbs boost is over rated but if it could give a 15-30% Horsepower at the rear wheels then i would gladly pay the $75 for it

The smaller the motor the more chance that it will work

better off with a ram air set up and always racing above 20 mph

Haha you could make your own out of $2 exhaust pipe and a $5 squirrl cage motor out of a heater box.

You should see the video of the Honda on the dyno with them blowing a leaf blower into the intake.
