as for the ultimate tbi mods most of them are about high flow air intakes and iv already done that and the other mods are also way to complicated for the amount of power gain there would be.

maby if the site was better built and the tuts had some pics then i would think of undertaking some of these mods

Whatever dude, you dont even have the right engine.

    Agreed.

I'm not a Ford fanatic, but they are an OEM, which means they have put a lot of effort into making sure their crap won't break instead of paying for it later. After market companies do not have the money nor the desire to do that.

ok so about how much can you get a new generic turbo for say with about 6 lbs boost that would give about 40% hp gain right (oops sry i ment to write 30%)

saw some go on ebay for like 200-300 i was wondering if there would be any reason i could not just fabricate all the plumbing and just use any old turbo on my blazer

is there any reason why this would not work?

reason 1: your a complete retard who throws some pipes in his engine bay with a turbo bolted on to the collector expecting unbeleiveable toqure and hp increases.

if it were that easy and cheap lycan would have a turbo.

I agree with saving money and I tried the junkyard fans swap on my first blazer. Ended up spending more money on alternators and batteries due to the draw on the system taking out parts. Plus it was a pain to wire in and deal with. The Flex-a-lites are worth the money for me just to do it right, save the headache, ease the install process and have a warranty in case the shit goes bad.

    To his their own.

Wasnt the guy w/ a 2000 blazer and a rear mount turbo running 8.8's in 1/8 mile? If so, thats pretty impressive. Im actually considering to throw a turbo on mine, just havnt looked at all the costs involved though.

Don't take everything as truth on that install. I believe the numbers are real but just read a couple different sources / forums and related threads before you spend money. In one thread he stated 6 secs of lag from a rolling start.

DIY with junkyard turbos are fun if you want to play but IMO seldom does turbos = cheap

like HARLEY said, I'm also wondering how a ford alternator/battery survive with these fans considering it was standard equipment on one of the most popular 4 door sedans ever and a chevy alternator/battery can't. I can believe the 63A wouldn't do it but any of the 100/105A series shouldn't be an issue.

Could that be due to the fact that it was a rear mount turbo and had lots of piping?

You must have swapped out a 96 motor for an 88-95 tbi motor then huh?
