    Project: Black & Tan

I came up with a better name for the truck (in my head at least) and it has been a long while since I have updated, so I decided to start a new project thread. I also wanted to give a preview before Carlisle seeing as most my mods this year are underneath the skin.

    Old Thread Here

Anyway I got the e fan installed that I talked about in the last thread. Ran it to a pin out on the computer and have it set at 190* right now for th turn on.

    Look no engine drag!:

Ford fan hiding under the stock shroud:

I still haven't got the A/C replacement bracket. The junkyard that said they had one didn't know what I was talking about the next week when I went back and Summit keeps pushing the backorder date back. If I get a chance in the next couple weeks I will see how well Autozone, Advanced, etc. can find one.

Information I used for the e fan install using the ECU as a controller:

Here's a link from my tuning forum on how to get the ECU to control them

    The final schematic I used:

The switch turns on high, while the ECU turns on low. My friend has a tuner to access ECU parameters.

Did some more work on the porch of my apartment this year. Finished painting the rear bumper ends. Body work still isn't 100% perfect, but I am definately still learnind and they have come a long way. The black isn't quite as flat as I wanted either (supposed to be trim recolor), but this will at least provide a good black base if I want to throw some flat black down.

Washed, clay barred, and waxed in preperation for Carlisle. Also pictured is my new Xtreme leaves out back. Not terribly noticeable.

Yeah, the 2nd gens have a real stiff pedal in my experience. The brand new one I had and this one (clutch <1000 miles old when truck purchased) both had a stiff pedal. Especially compared to the cobalt and caddy.

Speaking of the Caddy, I need to get the 6 spd in the Blazer so I stop putting into into R when looking for 6th.

I will trade you the step shavers and shifter for a t56 rebuild kit and s10 bed sides. You seem to have a real good talent in body work where I lack the patience (or I just put it off until too late).

Edit: I'll let you take it for short drive at Carlisle if you'd like.

I'm getting excited. I may have to do some color sanding at your place or Friday night if I don't get time tonight.
