    98+ dash in a 95-97 possible?

I just wanted to find out if anybody has done this swap, and is it a bolt in deal if you have everything from the 98+, or are the mounting points all different?

It is possible, well anything is possible :D , but it would be quite the undertaking. The whole HVAC system is different, I know the mounting is different. The big one is I dont know if the steering column mounts in the same spot.....

ok, thanks i just pmed him to see what all it needed to make it happen.

My buddy has a 96 4dr blazer that was a lifted 2wd, 3in spindles and 3in springs and 2in body lift, and his frame is now under my bravada, and my old 4wd frame is going under his truck with a 6" superlift kit and the 2in body lift. But he wants to do a 98+ interior swap, and i am looking for a good 98+ body with the dropdown tailgate to swap for my stock bravada liftgate body that got some roof damage from the swap, and has some rust spots on the firewall.

Ok, just got a pm response fro orangesonoma on S10F, and he said he didnt know about the HVAC because his truck didnt have it, but that the dash was a direct bolt in, and im assuming he used a 98+ dash harness to get the newer guages to work.

Im also thinking that the HVAC system is the same for all 95+ blazers, ive looked at my buddys 96 and my 2K and they look the same on both sides of the firewall to me.

no he used the stock guages from the 95+ in the newer cluster.... hvac controls appear to be the same, at least the vacuem lines and such...

if you start this swap take alot of pics. I would like to see this. A friend of mine has a 97 and was talking about doing this. Never did though cause he thought it would be too much of an undertaking

yeah there will def be pics, and possibly a write up thread.

Also i got to looking at the HVAC alittle closer today and there is def a differance atleast on the engine side of the firewall, not sure on the interior side, but i dont think it would be that hard to swap out the HVAC system.
