    the 5.3 really isn't that much. just everything that adds up afterwards is.

    yea I know. I can get a 5.3 around here with everything excluding the cumputer for $800 w/o a core. I've been reading about how much all that little stuff can add up quick and damn $10,000 in an engine swap is too rich for my blood. My V8 engine swap in my fullsize ran me literally -$80 by the time I got done trading and selling parts and the 350 had under 1,000 miles on it too. Ofcourse that was before I factored in all the performance stuff, when I did that it ran me a little over $1000. Still not bad for a new engine. :)
