    underdrive pullies

    :rolleyes: I want to put underdrive pullies on my 4.3... I want to know how big of difference do you think i'll notice if i put these on? Also i would like to put a cam in it to, any tips on what size cam for a stock 4.3?

    first of all u should start of with saying what year ur engine is... i have a set of underdrive pulleys for my 93 4.3 and i hated them, so i took them off, didnt really notice any difference, and if ur lights were on for like 40 seconds, ur battery dies... least thats what the deal was with mine, even just idling it would die down...


    and as far as cams go im not to bright on that stuff, hopefully another member on the forums can help ya out there

    i had some pullies and loved them

    also i would reccomend an edelbrock cam for a 4.3 tbi motor

    it was the crank pulley and the alternator pulley correct? Also do you have a part number for thaat eldebrock cam and will it be ok for a stock manifold with stock heads on my 90 gmc jimmy 4.3L?

    maybe i linked the wrong one.

    let me dig out my cam card and double check

    found my cam card. thats the same one that i had in my 4.3 and it ran fine with a stock tune. there are a couple forum members that can attest to that as well.

    LOL naw ran pretty good. i think ideally a bigger lobe separation would be more friendly but the duration and lift are pretty good. I think your on the right track by getting a cam. that and heads are your bigger power gainer's on these motors.

    i dunno why the link says no computer contorlled. my cam card says everything else but that

    i think maybe because its not a 114 lobe separation?
