    exhaust cat delete?

    i have a 92 bravada and i took the cat off and it wouldnt run with out it.and i did seal it up it just wouldnt run so how do i do a dual exhaust on it and delete the cat..4.3 cpi awd..thanks:confused:

    I'm confused too, did you empty the monilith in the converter and put the shell back on...or like the one above me says, not put the O2 sensor back in? Unless your muffler is stopped up, dunno

    i cut the cat off and replaced it with a piece off pipe and yes i did plug the o2 sensor in.and it ran like shit.and after the cat about 3 or 4 feet away is my new flowmaster with a turn down so muffler is good.and my truck only has 1 o2 sen

    the cat beinng off should not mess with your motor, the o2 reads before the cat......not sure why it is not runing good now........how did it run before and how is it running now......like shit doesn't tell us what it is doing......we need more info to help you

    There is something else wrong. Since the 02 is before the cat the cat has no effect on it readings. I made a pipe for my 87 and it still runs fine.
    stock-87 blazer tahoe 2 door, 3.4, auto, 4x4

    inside- All LEDs, overhead console, white faced gauges, smoothed panels, Camo cloth, radio and speakers, keyless entry

    outside- 1/2 lift, 3 inch bl, clears, H4 conv headlights, Euro red tails, all LEDs

    motor- 2.8 fiero valve covers, headers, flowmaster 40, 10 in chrome edelbrock cleaner with K&N, silicone vacuum hoses

    yeah this does sound wierd....could it be that maybe you have just never heard your truck without a cat? NOT BEING A SMARTASS...i know when i put my flowmasters on it was like a different truck...and a turndown makes it ever louder. Maybe your o2 is bad?

    Well the only thing I noticed when I did mine was alittle bottom end lose. The lack of back pressure will take some of the torque away but not to the point it runs that bad. I would disconnect the battery for a min or so then reconnect and run the Blaze down the road for a few miles to let the computer reset it's self then you should be ok. If not replace the O2 sensor, you may have damaged it when you disconnected it or hooked it back up.
