    Vortec heads worth it

Ok, i have a 90 gmc jimmy 4.3 <non-vortec>....The heads that are on there now are crap i think.... If i get some vortec heads off a newer 4.3 vortec motor, what do i have to do to make them work? Will they bolt right up to my block? I know i need a vortec intake... What size roller rockers should i get? and also what size cam? I just want to get more horsepower and get rid of my sludged up heads i have on here now....Please help...Thanks, phil:rolleyes:

if you want to make some good power this is the setup i suggest

    vortec heads
    comp 270 cam
    1.6 ratio full roller rockers
non balanced shaft block with arp main cap studs
    forged pistons
shot peened L35 rods with arp studs
    2114 intake with MPFI conversion

should run a mid 14 second quarter all day

then since the bottom end is built you can spray the fuck out of it

How much is something like this going to cost? I was thinking of doing a 350 swap, but I'd rather do a HP 4.3 in my '92 instead.

since a 4.3 is 3/4th of a 5.7, just take the price for 5.7 parts and then add another 3/4 to the price :) :)

    LOL WUT?
