    came across a problem last night with the rear. i have rear bump stops that are in the way on my tire. how do we cut them off without having to go out and buy the correct tools. to anybody that can help

    if you are putting stock shackles and up to 3" drop blocks on it, i'd keep the bump stops where they are.
    looks like the previous owner already cut them down.
    they are usually the size of a pop can.

    if your tires are hitting the bump stop brackets then your wheels are the wrong offset



    do your old wheels fit?

    yea the previous owner cut on it already. we already found out the offset was wrong once the rims got to the house. what we are trying to do is remove the bump stop from were it is and move it to another spot were my tires wont rub the bump stop. well thats the plan anyways. any suggestions on how to remove them. yea the old rims fit but the tires probably rubbed but i dont know.

    Rather than cut the bump stop brackets, I would probably pick up some wheel spacers.

    just remove the bumpstops and brackets entirely.. you'll be fine.....

    if you have a grinder you can grind the welds on the bracket and the bump stop should come off


    i would go with some wheel spacers if you don't change rims so the wheels don't stick in

    well we decided to go with spacers. so ive ordered them on sunday so unfortunately they wont be here until the july 6th so it will be another week before it will be on the roads.

    well its done, just a couple more things to do. i have to get the rear bumper put back on and rerought the exhaust and it will be fully done will have picks tomorrow. just wondering if anybody might have 2" spindles laying around that anybody might want to sell.
