    4wd to 2wd

Been reading some of these posts about ridding the 4wd. And i have a couple questions.

#1 Can i just drop the tcase and put in a 2wd tranny ?
#2 will an ext cab dshaft work in my 4dr blazer?
#3 will it be ok to leave the hog head and cv shafts in?

The reason im asking is im not sure how long i wanna keep the 2wd. But right now the closest 4wd tranny for my year of blazer is 500$ from a junkyard. Where as i already have a 2wd 4l60e so its pretty much free + drive shaft.

I have to get this truck on the road, its my DD. Thanks in advance.

Just wondering if a driveshaft from an ext cab s10 would be the correct length.
