    I'm at a loss.

So I have a 2002 Blazer LS. The problem I am having is it doesn't get any power. When driving it won't go over 20 MPH and the RPM won't go over 2 1/2. I have changed the distributor, the mass air flow senser, the ignition coil. I have checked the idle position sensor and it was good and checked the fuel pressure and it is good. It starts and stays running but when you put it in drive it won't go over 20 and the RPMs don't get to high. Anyone had this problem before or know of anything it could be?

Can you rev it up past 2500rpm in neutral?

no, it won't rev past 2 1/2 in any position. P,N,D or the low gears.

Since it does it in neutral and while in gear, it's probably going to be solely a motor issue. I would start by making sure that all of the hoses and electrical connectors for the maf and throttle body are nice and snug, and that nothing is unhooked, could also be from a bad map sensor. Secondly, I suggest you change your fuel filter, as that can sometimes give the same symptoms. Is the cel on?

Does it sputter or make any kind of noises when it hits 2.5K? My guess is that there is something wrong with the fuel injection not provding enough fuel for the higher RPM. If it is a Vortec, they are a bit notorious for fueling issues.

Another thing that may cause it is a crank sensor losing resolution.

I would start by checking the fuel pressure, and then checking the crank sensor.
