    1971 Datsun build

Finally starting to do the build on my 71 Datsun 521.

This is right after I got it a few months ago

and how its sitting now. after these photos were taken we cleaned all the rust off the frame to see what we were workin with.

Plans for it right now are to just get it to lay out with hydros. I have a 2 pump 4 dump setup. I have a 4 link for it but not sure if I will use that or just do a simple 2 link (not going to be a daily and dont care bout hittin sides). I'm still trying to figure out how I wanna do the rear notch. i have a couple different ideas:
    1. We like the way the rear frame looks so we have thought about just Z'in the rear frame up and finish boxing off there rear of it and fillin in any factory holes not being used.
    2. Make a custom plate steel notch that would flow with the rest of the frame. Or...
    3. Plate steel notch and rear frame

Future plans are to put a 4.3L engine in it and a good ol' flat ass body drop, so we have to keep that in mind also...

havent really done much lately due to work and drinkin haha. but im on vaca this week so hopefully i'll get something done. i think im goin with a notch like this outta plate steel with a few small things extra. going to incorporate the round tube through the frame rails and notch again, i really like how it looks. but heres my cardboard notch idea.

im only going to run 23.5" tall tires so the notch doesnt need to be be all huge and shit. just enough to lay her on the floor.

im assuming hes gunna custom build a notch out of steel, and just have it shaped like that. then weld it in place and cut out the frame for the axle
