Looking really good. I wandered if you'd get more done.

I think I missed it but is that 4.3 stock or built to be better?

Its a 91 or so block (doesnt have the balance shaft at the top, dont know if its better with or with out it) with 2000 vortec heads, all new bearings, rings, and everything else. Got an underdrive crank pulley, put new comp cams double springs in the heads, new studs for the rockers (was going to put roller rockers in there, but I couldnt find any valve covers that were a decent price, so didnt go with the full roller rockers), put a new cam in (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-09-420-8) converted to carb set up. I was able to get some headers for it, but they didnt fit well at all.

SO basically, just a cam, under drive crank pulley, and new springs in the vortec heads. Nothing serious.

Makes for an interesting motor to put in a datsun. Looks like it wasn't easy to put it in.

Its a tight fit. I havent even tried to fit an electric fan yet. thats going to be a hassle.

Yeah I'm sure it was. Good luck with the cooling fan. You know I'd look at mounting my radiator in the bed and adding the efans there. But it's only an idea.

if you could find a shorter and wider rad that you could recess into the core support you should be able to work the fans in there, kinda hard to tell with the angle of those pics tho

Well I only get to work on it about once every 2 weeks or so (school, work, fam). I have started it for a short time, a couple times. No exhaust yet, just exhaust manifolds. The exhaust is going to be the main problem now. The electric fan situation worked out decently. no pic with it in though. Lets see if I can post up a video or two of the first time or two I started it.
