    towing

i got a 2002 4 door ls 2 wheel drive. this summer i plan on doing a little towing. memorial day my buddie and our family are going up to lakemead. he has a jet boat he pulls with his duramax. and he also has a small jetski and trailer for it. my question is this will the bummper handle the little jetski and trailer. later this summer i wanta rent a travel trailer and go to zion national park for a few days im gonna get a towe hitch for that and not use the bummper. i just need to know what size hitch i need and whats the biggest trailer i can towe safely. here is a link to what im looking at.

im looking at the 17 ft

i would be ok with something smaller like 13 or 16 feet. its just gonna be the wife and our 2 children

I would probably use a receiver style hitch that bolts to the frame. I'm not sure how much the bumper itself could handle.

I think the bumper itself can handle 1500 lbs. If its heavier than that a class III hitch or bigger is what you'll need. If you woudlve asked aboout 2 months ago I wouldve given you my old one, but its long gone now. :(
