a smaller tank or another compressor. Most compressors are usually meant to fill 5 or so gallons. Ive got a dual 444c setup coming to me. Its got a few seconds slower fill time then the dual 480s. But personally id stick with viar, they are beasts. Ive had my 450 since 03 and been daily used since 06 and it still works.

I think it would be better to go with EDC as they are the best and even faster. It will fill your tank just in a minute. It works great for me. I would like to recommend you EDC but still it's up to you to go with your personal choice.

Are and of you 2.8L guys running EDC's? How bad does it hurt gas mileage and where do you have it mounted?

I'll probably end up going with 2 444's or 1 380 but I just wanted to find out about EDC's on the 2.8's before I went electric.

Just get a pressure switch that cuts them off at say 150 or whatever you want. I am using dual 480's now with a 175/145 pressure switch.

I agree & prefer EDC if you recycle lots of air. I'm getting rid of an Oasis XD2000 that's just as fast. :D If you're interested PM me.

I'm running 1 EDC on 16 gallons of air and my fill time from 120 to 150 is under 30 seconds... I will never run another electric comp.

I allways run 2 comps for anything over 5 gallons just a good rule thumb. I would just add 2nd comp and call it good. you could always get the same model viairs new daul pack. i like the 165 off 120 on pressure switch but i been haven a hard time finding them since everyones been running 200 psi off.

the dual 380c pack comes with a 165psi on 200 psi off. if you want lower pressure i would pick up this and just run a lower pressure switch. a viair one if they got it.
