    traditional body drop

    not sure if this is the right place for this post. but i have a 85 2dr v8'd n bagged and i was wanting to body drop it, but im not sure on how to section the firewall, i know it will need tubbed because im running 20's. so if anyone has pictures or very detailed instructions it would be great!

    Here is how I cut the first gen s10 I tradition BD'd The firewall is the exact same on a blazer. Basically you draw out a line on the firewall that you would like to cut then draw another one that's identical, how ever many inches your are dropping it, abover it then cut the strip out and toss it to the side. Once you get rid of that and so all the floor cutting and the back, you drop the truck down and they should match right up or relatively close. Then tack weld them together. You will have to make a couple of filler pieces to fill any gaps. Its easier to tub the firewall after the BD so you know exactly where to go with the tub.
