that puts you close to 500 dollars in parts. Then labor is free if your going to do it youself.

then you need a tune, 150-300 dollars.

If i was to go through with this id do that and NO MORE! If you were to put any more money into it for power then simply do the v8 route.

ok, if i can find heads that will flow decent enough to allow the lunati cam, and the hedman headers to work well for less than ~$800 it would be plausible, ~$200 for the cam/lifter kit, ~$200 for the headers, and ~$100 for the efan, so that leaves ~$300 for heads and head work.

reuse the stock lifters, they will be fine. however you still need to factor in valve springs and exhaust mods for the long tubes.

one thing you need to do before you buy a cam is verify whether or not your motor has a balanced shaft. they take different cams and timing sets than non balanced shaft motors.

the exhaust mods shouldn't be too much, just gotta cut the y pipe and make a new one, the valve springs shouldn't be too much and the engine is a 1992 'Z' code. maybe a 2001+ 'W' code would be better?

I'd like my blazer to sound like those...and I'll be saving up money for the vortec heads and head work, the cam, the headers, tune, etc.
