    marine engine?

ok so my engine needs alot of work and a possible rebuild.... and when searching for a new engine for my truck i found this.....

    its a 1992 4.3 Mercruiser that pushes out 275 H.P for $2,495

heres the thing i know that a mercruiser 262 intake will fit on a chevy 4.3 but my question is this: will this engine install in my truck? and is it worth it to get it and install it?

the other question is how hard would it be to get another 100-125hp out of this engine?

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a 4.3. I would do a v8 swap or a new crate 4.3 for that. I found a 100% complete LS1 on craigslist for $2000. And as for the extra 100-125 hp out of that, you'd be very hard pressed to get 400hp from a 4.3. Not saying it can't be done, just saying it would be very costly.

well missouri has passed a law or some shit that you cant put an engine larger(no more cylinders) than was standard equipment in that vehicle so unless i can find a verry large verry high hp 6 cylinder im stuck with trying to build a 4.3 to being a beast
