    where to go from here....??

    Ok, so i got the basics of my lowering done, will post pics ina bit when i finish washing the truck.. although its about to snow.. but still, its pic time!

    anyways.. ok so i have belltech 2102's front and 3" blocks (not angled) in the rear.. I need it 2" more front and rear to be satisfied.. can i run 5" rear and 4" front without any problems?? or am i over zealous and gonna have to use a c-notched rear and new control arms front?? Ive already removed my bump stops.

    Im runnin a 2000 2 door blazer blazer with xtreme body kit and 245/40 tires on 20" wheels.

    any input would be appreaciated..

    A 2" spring in the front. The rear their is many options. Lowered leafs,takin leafs out,coilovers. Coilovers would probably be the best bet.

    You may want to write out your thoughts in complete sentences rather than just blurting your thoughts out. Not trying to be a dick, but what you said is barely perceptible.

    If you're suggesting coil overs in the rear he will need some sort of link system, which will be a large combination of money, research, and fabrication. Coil overs up front can get you up to another couple inches with stock arms. Up to 4" with the right set of tubular arms, but adjustable anywhere from 0 to 2 or 4. Coil overs are more costly than springs alone.

    2" spring will do you well for not very much. Or get xtreme/zq8 springs for a 1.5" drop.

    I have xtreme Blazer leaves in the back of mine + 3" blocks milled down some to fit the U bolts I wanted to run with set back plates for about 4.5" drop. I'm running stock shocks and haven't bottomed out yet, but that may be from the shocks.

    I think it was alright what I said. I understand it wasn't a full explanation but I think the point was made. Drop leafs,2" coils. The guy has already lowered the blazer so he knows what it consists of. He is looking for opinions. Just sayin......

    i appreciate the info.. guess i shoulda stated in this thread that im looking to keep the stock weight capabilites of the stock leafs.. so im thinking zq8/xtreme leafs. Im planing on 4 kinetik 2400 batteries, 4 15's or 2 18's, 3-5 amps, one big ass overbuilt box and spray in bedliner inside the interior sheetmetal. so i need the extra load holding capability. Im almost thinking i need to hold off lowering the rear until i get it all in there and see what my clearances are then. But im already begining to think i might just wanna leave it alone and run an air shock/spring setup for the weight of the audio and if i have people in the back.. keeping the rear seats.

    oh and ill post pics of it now in just a sec

    Sounds like the xtreme springs and leaves are the best bet then. On the Blazers the RPO for the xtreme suspension is Z87. The leaves are Blazer specific, but I don't believe the springs are. Any spring from a 4.3 truck will work out fine.

    But I've also confirmed that here at work. It is the 2 door "low rider performance" chassis package.

    k cool. I knew there was a difference between the blazer and s10 rear leafs. So i guess that makes sense, thanks!

    zq8 = s10 xtreme package
    z87 = blazer xtreme package

    i know that the zq8's fit the front of the s10 and blazer but not the rear.

    just called a local junkyard and he says he has 3 blazer xtreme's down there with rear leafs.. 50 bucks each leaf, and 30 for the springs.. guess they are gonna make alot of money from me when i get down there ;) im gonna buy em all and sell that shit!!! and anything else i can pull and get for decent price.

    so I do have one more question i need answered about the suspension on these too.. did chevy use different shocks STOCK for the blazer 2 door base and the xtreme? im assuming they would have because of the lower stance. Makes sense to me..

    Z87 LOW RIDER PERFORMANCE - 15056363
    ZW7 PREMIUM SMOOTH RIDE - 12474687

    That's from a 2002. Didn't look to see if they changed over the years.
