    lowering motor mounts

    I have sfbd 94 blazer my question is how can .I lower my motor (4.3)vortec so my cowl is not so tall or can be elimanted all together .

    You could lower it a little with custom motor mounts but then your oil pan will be closer to the ground and that's not good.

    cut the motor mount risers off.

    Have you done this before? Are the motor mount holes in the crossmember below the the mount pedestals(like the s10's are)? Or do they need to be drilled? I'm currently starting on a 91 blazer that is receiving all the running gear from my v8 92 sonoma. I have not pulled the 4.3L out of the blazer yet, which is why I still have the question.....

    cut them off. i believe the holes are there already, but if not just drill them.. as im pretty sure from what i remember there are no nuts welded to the backside, so you will need to run a nut and bolt combo to hold the mounts to the frame.

    Thanx for the input eveyone ....with boltING the mouunts to the frame does that pretty much bring the oil pan to were it touches the xmember?
