Best brand for 1st gen cowl hood

I'm looking for a 2 inch cowl hood for my blazer thats steel and has a good fit. I was looking at the Goodmark one and the one from LMC, but I'm just looking for some info about it if any of you guys have one. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I have a Goodmark 2" steel hood for mr 86 and a Cervini 2" fiberglass on my 89. Both fit nice and are good quality in my opinion.

I have one from lmc....it fits great, but it isn't a functional hood. Even though there fucking magazine says it is. It still has all the bracing in it, and holes for your Insulator pad. Fuckers...

I've had 2 Goodmarks on 2 different trucks, I really like them.

If I had a carb or tbi, I wouldn't be able to get a taller air cleaner or make use of the added room of a real cowl induction hood because mine has all the bracing in it, just like the factory one does.

Ended up getting the GoodMark one and I like it, little bit of a gap between the fenders and a small ding or 2 but that's ok. I ordered it from stylin trucks and they said i was the first one to order that hood since 2007 lol

Yea it has 2 small dents along the side, I'm talking really small. I can get to them from underneathso it will be a easy fix.

Sad that it's taken four years for somebody to order that hood. Has our hobby really slowed down that much?

Hope you got some sort of refund from "stylin". It shouldn't make any difference how long they had the hood, damaged goods are damaged goods. It will cost them less to refund or give you "store credit" than to pay return shipping, then ship you a replacement. Now if they told you up front that there was some minor damage and adjusted the purchase price, so be it. Just my opinion. BTW, I am very pleased with my Goodmark hood. Also the hood bracing does not interfear with it being "fully functional".
