    2wd 1st gen wheels to 2wd 2nd gen ...

will the wheels from a 1st gen 2 wheel drive fit on the 2nd gen 2 wheel drive truck??

I bought a set of, im assuming first gens the other night, and they didnt fit, im assuming this is because they were 4wd wheels? the bolt pattern is the same, but the offset was making the caliper hit the back side of the face of the wheel before i could even put a lug nut on...

    HELP!

1st or 2nd gen 2 wheel drive is the same but a 4 wheel drive wheel is not going to work.

4wd wheels will only fit other 4wds, unless you use spacers. the only issue you will ever run into when swapping throughout the years is second gen wheels will require a little grinding at the center to clear the larger hub that first gens have. Its not much a dremel will take care of it. but first gen to second gen wheels will be fine.YOur problem is they are 4wd rims on a 2wd, they have way to much offset

They will physically fit, but will stick out 2 1/4 inches beyond your fenders. Please don't do that.

Why? Most of us do that so we can fit 31s under them without rubbing.

Because unless you put fender flares on it you look retarded with that much wheel poking out. Plus you're slinging mud and water everywhere.

I might be able to get on board, assuming you've got 4-6 inches of lift.

Or swap to 2nd gen parts to keep the wheel mounting hub centric.

No flares, the factory rims sling mud and water everywhere when you are in mud and water. Its a 4x4 so not like I care.
