Question Tires for my stock 01 xtreme blazer

I have stock tires 235/60/16 and want to go with something wider and was wondering if anyone had any ideas what i could use? I tried 245/50/16 and the side wall was way to small for a stock X blazer. Way to much tire to fender gap. I heard that size looked good on the X trucks so i figured i would try it, and that was a bad idea.

A 255/55-16 would be the same diameter, except that hardly anybody makes a tire in that size. According to Tire Rack, all they have is a General Grabber.

You aren't really going to know until you try them on, but I would guess if they hit anywhere it would be on the frame at full lock. The diameter is the same, so your speedometer will read correctly, and they should clear the fenderwells just fine.

They didn't rub because they were an inch and a half shorter in diameter. That's why it looked goofy, because it was so much shorter. The tire I suggested is the same diameter as original but wider, so you might touch the frame rail in tight turns. I'll bet it looks a hell of a lot better though.
