6speedblazer, will his original ecm be 7747? just curious. that would be much easier than searchin the junkyards right?
cody have you checked the ecm in leahs blazer? why dont you put the one from yours into hers and see if it works!!!

that wont work because your blazer didnt have a v8 in it therefore your still not gaining anything.

superbee i thought the prom chip is the only change? 6speedblazer said to get an ecm from a s-series, fullsize, or astro.

what I'm getting from all this it the 7747 pcm is like the 0411 for the LSx motors

the 0411 pcm can be used on many different motors 4.3 V6, 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 LSx, and the 305 and 350 96-99 vortecs, BUT to use the pcm on the different motors you have to have it tuned for the motor your running.

with the 7747 the prom/chip is how you retune the pcm, SO you need the 7747 pcm with a prom/chip for the 5.7........(as much as I hate to say this) JUST LIKE MARK SAID IN POST #7........click this link for more help

yes that sums it up pretty good dan

mark, are you sure the 7747 ecm will plug into the camaro harness? Im not real familiar with the f bodys and didnt know if they used a different piniout on the tbi motors or not. im sure they are the same but have never looked.

    and here:
