Info: 90 S Blazer, lays frame on 18's.
What are the best shocks you can get for a good ride?
Part#'s?
Best price?
Did some searching but didn't find anything specific about rides that lay out.
Thanks in advance,

I was told to make your shock mounts. Then measure the center of both mounting bolts at full lock up and aired out. That will give you the stroke. Then you can look for a shock. Being you have a layd out truck like myself a drop shock may notwork. Do you have a shock relocater kit on?

Well all of my set up is custom built, so i guess i'll be measuring.
Any input on brand?
Well, I love my Bilsteins, but your going down a road I don't know anything about. You're going to be limited by the specs you need, so I'd start there.
for the front? a lot of people use nissan pickup shocks. Ive got some off of a 4 runner on mine b/c they fit the demensions i needed. But if you buy a pair, just weld the frame mounts on where you can get full lift and lay out. I had to find a shock b/c i welded the frame mounts on with stock arm, then went to a larger tire and tube arms so i had to find one to fit b/c i didnt want to cut off my mount and reweld them on
so is my set-up and thats what i did. once you have the stroke its alittle easy to shop around. this why i also have not inculded a brand. since any number of companys will have what you need. you might just have to look around and research the name brands you find. then you messuer the diameter of the shock. this will let you know if it will rub.
btw we love pics around here! what kinda of set up are you running?
