    why swap a good 4.3L for a shit 307?

    thats like wiping before you poop, it just dont make sense.

    first thing id do is pull the codes. Even if your light isnt on, it may have some hard codes stored in the ecm unless you've unplugged the battery since then.


    Next thing i would do is do a fuel pressure test. See exactly what the fuel pressure is at when it messes up on you.
    Yeah well i did replace the ecu just to prove that its something else and it ran the exact same but its not i paid for the ecu anyway so i let that go lol. maybe the codes have appeared in the "new" ecm? dont hurt to try its been awhile since i put it in and yeah too much to type lol. tranny still acts like its starting out in 2nd tho...but then will work if i go 1st, 2nd, drive, and still no OD. maybe i just answered my issue? idk,

    Cuz the "good" 4.3 has 236k on it and the 307 i have ran when pulled and was free so why not just use what i got til better comes along.

    Well i gave up on the turd. Sold it and everything i had for it for $100 bucks just to get it out of the yard and bought an '86 ramcharger that runs and drives lol. Body not too bad, need some carb work but runs nice. Bottom end is rebuilt. Bravada i guess is getting taken to a shop to get looked at? : / lol
