I got to clean up the bumpers I picked up. but I found out they aren't as perfect as I had thought. There is a couple of dings in them and maybe two bents spots. I'm not a body man and I don't have tools to fix it. But I'm going to try and see if I can fix them or not. If nothing else I might just use them till I can get some that are in better shape. It's going to be a few days before I can get to them again. It started to rain and it's to cold to paint anything outside.

almost all s10 bumpers look like that. They are thin, and stamped. Even new ones have some waves here or there. And almost every used one will have some wavy spots at the mounting bolts. Id say those are in pretty damn good shape.

Thanks. Well they look ok for the price I paid. But the chrome front bumper on mine is in better shape then the red one is. There is signs off hitting something or being bumped. But I'm going to try to straighten them. There's welding to do on them still once I find someone to do for me. Or help teach me to do it.

Well that would work. I didn't realize you had a welder. If you told me I may have forgotten. But I was gonna cut a piece to fill in where the tag goes. I have a section from my old bumper when I got hit and I saved it for this. I haven't had a chance to do it with the weather the way it has been lately. We need to bring your carport over so I can turn it into a shop, lol.

Well I got some great pics from ondfloor. He's done the same thing I want to do. But I thought mine would be one of a kind. Oh well, I like how it looks. Here's a couple of pics of his.

nice idea....as for the bumpers, I have found the panitable bumper are thin and bend easy. The chrome bumpers seem to be thicker and nicer.

Oh ok, I looked at the chrome ones I have and they looked the same to me. My issue with the chrome ones is the chrome is hard to paint. I've already planned to paint them to match my truck and having a painted set will be alot easier to do. The ones I picked up are actually the best ones I have found out here by me.

Yeah it does. I just haven't had a chance to get it done. I've got winter crap going on. I have busted pipes and I'm trying to get them fixed.

That sucks, I haven't had a chance to start anything. It's not good enough weather to do any body work or paint. Right now I'm looking forward to spring getting here.

I still haven't been able to do anything. It's either been to cold or to wet and I'm painting the bumpers before I put them on.
