16 x 9.5" 1st gen, will it work with spacers?

a buddy is offering some old school wheels w/ tires to me at a great price. only problem being is they are extremely wide. i have a '89 1st gen 2dr 2wd blazer with a 5" drop front, 4" drop rear. i am now running 16x8 chrome irocs w/ 225/50/16 zr1 tire w/ 1" spacer up front. the new rims are 16x9.5 w/ 255/50/16 tires. i think they would work with 2.5" spacers. how far would they stick out? would this look too ridiculous? and help or anybody runnning wide front vette wheels (or others) please give me some advice. thanks.

Depending on back spacing U should be able to tuck a 9.5" rim. Without an adapter of any kind.

Eh, you can make that width work on the rear but not the front. I'm kinda tight with an 8" wheel. Really need more info, offset, backspace, what wheels they are, etc.

BTW, you should be running a 245/55-16 on those iroc wheels.

in a 16" wheel the inner lip is pretty much dead even with the tierod end

an 18x8 fits no problem, 4.5" backspacing in the front

I wouldnt go any bigger than 8" wide in the front.

All depends on tire size and wheel offset.

definetly want the thickest tires possible, i live in LA and the roads are ungodly. i wanted to go with a 55 but will settle with a 50 (what i'm running now)

I run 245/45-17" on 17X8 on the front with 2" spindles, and 3" springs with no spacers and no tie rod clearance problems. I don't remember for sure but I think 4 1/2" back space. I have 17X10" in the rear with 5" backspace. All on a '88 2wd Blazer. Keep on keeping on!
