    Question Can I drop a '96 Blazer on 22's?

Hey guys, sorry I havent been on in a while. I crushed my chop top, and re-used it's drivetrain in a '84 el camino ss since then. Well, I'm looking into a 1996 4 door s-10 blazer 2wd with 22's on it my freind has..... It is currently lifted 1 inch in the rear, and i wanted to know what modification, if any is needed to do a 3-4 drop (or any) on it with 265/35/22's (22 x 9.5)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

that 255/30/22 is 0.7 inches shorter, and 1/2 inch narrower. I really dont want to buy a whole set of tire because the 265/35/22's are new (less than 5,000 miles). Do you have any pics, and does it rub? Also did you have to do any mods to the fenderwells or body?

hey, i have a 2000 2 door 2 wd, droped on 2" belltechs, and 1.5" zq8 springs up front and 3" blocks out back. I have 22x9.5 15mm offset with 1 1/4 adapters front and rear. I also have the xtreme ground effects so i HAD to go with a 255/30/22 up front to clear the ground effects when i turn cause the close the wheel wells up about 1 1/2" in the front.

but yes, its no problem to drop it. fully loaded with passengers and BIG dips in the road is the ONLY time it i get rubs but its very minor. the streets here in seattle suck BAD and im constantly swerving to avoid dips, bumps, and potholes :(

but you should have no problems running them. like i said, im 3.5" lowered up front and 3" in rear, fully loaded and drives fine. just make sure you trim your bump stops!!

Thanks bro! I took delivery of it about two weeks ago, and just now got it running. It had a broken starter bolt in it, so it took a while. Runs and drives great now. I noticed it already rubs in the front a 3/4 turn and i see where it has rubbed in the rear on the body above the frame. If im not mistaken it's lifted an inch in the rear. I think thats because of the audio. It's got 2 15's, 4 6x9's, 3 amps, and 2 batteries in the rear sooo..... too much weight? idk. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to run spacers as well. Is it possible for you to send me the link to where you got your spacers and possibly how much your tires cost each? Thanks again, NUTE~DIZZLE.
