    tranny issues

my 99 blazer is having a issue w/ the trans. 4.3, 4l60e, 4x4 etc. w/ a little over 200,000 miles. was working fine till 3 days ago. i stomped on the gas to pass some slow ass, and it dropped to 2nd gear, started to accel and then started slipping. moter revved way up, i let off gas and then it upshifted and drove on down the road. now, when ever you drive it it wants to take 1st gear way up to 4 grand or so to shift. if you run to 3000 grand and let off, it will shift. and the rest of the shifts are normal. the fluid level is good and the fluid looks/smells normal. no ses. any ideas?

do you have a check engine light on? the 1-2 shift solenoid sounds liek it went bad they are a $20 part and can be replaced without pulling the pan...

my tahoe was doing the same i replace both the 1-2 and 3-4 shift solenoid, and didnt fix it i needed a new trans... but those symptoms you said lead towards replacing those solenoids...
