chips were back in the 90s

as for a programer, the best is an in person dyno tune.....I have my xtreme dyno tuned by EFI Alchemy, this is the thread I made on it

you can call EFI and talk to Doc, and ask about a mail order with my tune. Your 03 should have the 0411 pcm and about every tuner out there has the software for the pcm since it's the same as the corvettes and camaros. So if there is a local tuner give them a call and see about an in person tune.

i had a wait4me tune before we dyno tuned mine but they do a really nice job and they tune it pre your truck and what you want. and if you do any mods down the read it's free to reprogram you just pay the shipping. even after i did my cam, heads, new fuel system he flashed mine to get me running till i could dyno tune it. it ran pretty good for all the stuff he had to change.

done mess with supper chips or any of them, you can just pitch $300 out the door and get more out of it lol
    wait4me is cheaper, under $200

2001 and 2002 run the 0411, 03 and up run the 6106. The op stated his truck was a 2003, hence why i posted the correct information.

For whatever reason I'm thinking halfway through 02 was the change, but I may be confusing my S-truck ECU knowledge with my Full Size ECU knowledge.

for what its worth the 0411 and the 6106 are the same pcm, the 6106 just has more mb of memory.

there is also the 2156 pcm which if i remember right is the same as the 6106

I know if you pop your hood and flip the pcm over you can find out who's right and who's wrong ;)

Other than that I know he doesn't have a black box so tuning is easy to find.
