    how do you get the tailgate off

    tryin to get it off to install a roll pan i did on my old one but it was glass so i glassed it on this one is metal and i need to screw it in and i cant get the two pins out and is thats all thats needed for it to come off

    There should be a metal rod that is spring loaded as well, or at least that's how the 2nd gen blazers are.

    there is two pins and some wierd rod and a hose. maybe there is wiring or its my wndsheild wiper hose ill take some pictures how do u post em i never figured it out it never works for me

    theres 2 little "e" clips on the ends of the pins that need to come off, then they need to be tapped out. THe little rod with the rubber ends on it is to help open/close the gate. You dont need to mess with it to remove the pin. just undo one side.

    ok cool ill try it i was hitting it earliers with a hammer but it wouldnt budge

    yea unless you remove the little clips, its not going anywhere. Mine were a pain to get in and out too, id hose em down with some lube of some sort once you get the clips off

    the clips were off they still wont budge how come there so on there

    they arent just gonna slide out... you need to put a good amount of force to tap them out...i use a punch and a mini sledge sometimes.. once they move a little they will side out fairly easily.

    are they easy to buy if i just cut em. and my key whole thing is broke so i have the button to open the glass but i have to manually open it from the panel bein takin off. anyway i can do i handle inside like the trucks so i can shave it

    Weird, didn't have to take the tailgate off to install my rollpan. I did a Sir Michaels weld in pan on mine.

    i jist cut the pins they wouldnt budge.

    mine was a srewin or weld in but i dont have a welder so i screwed it and and am goin to glass it later to be smoothed there a pain in the ass plus it was on my s10 pick up but the width and all fit great
