00 4 Door Project underway. Pics included.......

I'm new here. My name is Scott and I'm from Tennessee. I recently sold my 87 Mustang coupe drag car (in a million pieces might I add) and decided it was time to do something I'd wanted to do for a while now. I used to own a 91 S10 reg cab 4.3 auto years ago (early 90's). It had a 5/6 drop sittin on Centerline Sabre's (and numerous factory Z wheels). Snug Top, 4 15" Kickers in the back with 3600 watts of Fosgate power, walk thru cab cutout, Mustang buckets, custom tweed interior, etc.

Fast forward many years, and 3 kids, and I guess I'm having a mid-life crisis a little early. I got the itch again. Also, one of my sons is 14 yrs old and will need a ride in a couple of years. After searching for a week solid, we pulled the trigger on a 2000 4 door Blazer LT. It's pewter, which I havent seen a whole lot of around here that are customized. Plans are to drop it 3 all the way around and keep it simple for now. Here's what we started with:
(sorry for the pics of the computer screen)

After about 30 mins, I couldn't help myself anymore, and swapped the headlights out:

And the trim had to go:

Also, ordered these the same day as well 20 x 8.5:

Ordered a set of 245/40-20 tires today. I'll make sure I post up pics after install of the wheels. Should be in by this time next week.

After that, it will get an altitude adjustment. Contemplating losing the roof rack as well. If anyone needs these parts, let me know. They are now collecting dust!

Love the forum, and I look forward to being a contributing member for a long time to come.

Wheels installed today. I like them alot. I need some spacers though, they hit the upper control arms when locked to either side in the front. Not bad though. 20 x 8.5 with +13mm offset. Sure wish I could have gotten them with no offset, or - 13mm or so. Next plan is a static 3/3 drop. Waiting on parts now.

Parts came in today. Gotta replace upper ball joints with the coil swap (got a rattling sound when I hit bumps). I also developed a brake problem after installing wheels. Started making a little grinding noise on the drivers side. Checking the bearings and new brake job as well. Looks like my Saturday is booked up. Will post pics when done.

Got it dropped! I still need to trim a little more off the rear bump stops. Ball joints checked out ok, still has the rattling sound (maybe steering drag link????)

Also, I tinted the front 2 windows the other day. I had just enough Llumar 20% to do the front windows.

    3"/3" drop:

Exhaust coming next. Probably gonna go with a simple turbo muffler, don't want it too loud. Can I cut the cat off and not have any major problems? I've always done it before, but never had an o2 sensor after cat though.

    Then sound system.

Cutting out the cat will throw a code and cause the check engine light to turn on. Someone who can modify the pcm code can remove it.

I'm sure you know, but removing the cat will increase the volume of the exhaust quite a bit.
