No sound from rear speakers on 1998 Jimmy

I have absolutely no sound from the rear speakers. Only the front dash and front door speakers. I pulled out the radio and checked the plug-in at the rear of the radio..everything is plugged in fine. Any thoughts on this? I can't see anything being wrong with BOTH side rear speakers, so maybe a wire pinched or something somewhere? Anyone else have this issue at all?
    Thanx in advance
    Tim

Had the same problem in my 99 4X4 Blazer. Checked everything still nothing plugged up a new speakers and it worked just fine. Still not sure what was up with the factory speakers just figured they were old and just give up. Replaced them with Polks, now they blow my front speakers away which by the way are gonna be replaced next.

Could be the speakers or the headunit. May sound dumb but make sure you have the fade on the headunit set to have the rear speakers on too.

Oh ok so you are getting sound, just not enough to really hear. I would say its the speakers.

Yes I am getting sound and it's loud:) But only from the front dash speakers and the two front door speakers. NOT the back door speakers:(

if your not getting any sound you can use a multi meter to test the speakers for impeadence. if they test good, test for signal thru the speaker wires while the stereo is on. if no signal then its wiring or the headunit. you can test the rear speaker leads at the headunit. if u get signal their then it could be a wire grounding out. if no signal the unit is bad.
