    1st gen s10 with a 3rd door conversion whatttttttttt????

    thats right 3rd door conversion on a ext cab 1st gen, as well as some other mods.... this project i did for a buddy of mine. enough talk heres pics!

    start...

    using part of a 1st gen door to make the 3rd door.

    2nd gen weatherstrip fits perfect!













    fiberglassed the stock hood blanket so it can be smooth and painted..( well made a reverse mold of it)

    late 60's camaro door handles... alsmost forgot the pics of this...





    as well as sdome sheetmetal door tops to follow the 59 impala dash i installed a few years back in it.





    andddd paint..










    i probly missed a ton of pics and what not but whatever...

    300+ hours of labor in this thing. but its done and leak free.. its getting a full interior right now as we speak. owner is real happy with it.

    Factory look to it, great job. I love his tailgate too. It looks better done on a 1st than a second IMO. Did you have to do any reinforcing to the roof or floor for this mod?

    floor no, roof i had to extend the factory bracing over as well as reinforce the pillar area.. other than that nothign too crazy..

    I'm sure it was a ton of work to do. It would be cool to make it possible to do the other side so it opens completely like a silverado.
