    'GoldRush' always doing something!

I've had this blazer since I was 15, and still have it and still working on it! I have a few threads on the mods that I have done over the years. Since I haven't started a project thread, guess I will now. I'm going to link my past mods and then continue on here with future ones.

make sure you swap the bolts that come with new ball joints for grade 8 hardware. i have seen a couple of the grade 5 bolts break before.

got a set of hubcentric 1" spacers to swap my front wheels to the rear and rear to the front. The GTA wheels are reverse staggered the rears were 16mm offset and front were 0mm offset. I wanted the bigger lip in the rear, it also pushed my track width out an inch on each side in the rear.
    spacers

installed (and yes I cleaned the calipers while I had the wheels off)

    rear fits the fender now

    front is good too

At least they take up less space now.

Just replaced the long bed front shocks with some stock Blazer bilsteins. Rides much better now.

I have had a set of stock blazer bilsteins sitting in the garage waiting on this front suspension rebuild. Right now I have both sides done, swapping the steering linkage in a few mintues! Pics later

Sweet. The rear stock Bilsteins from my Blazer were somehow not wrecked, so those went on the back last year. That was the biggest improvement, but the front pair I just purchased improved the bounciness that had remained.

not too many pictures. I decided that stopping to clean my hands and take pictures was going to take too long. So I onlt have a few from when I stopped to eat or get a drink. That left me with three pictures, that means I only took three breaks...

They are the Speedway arms with steel cross shafts. The uppers are great, no squeaking and feel good on the road. With the solid steel bushings they ride great. It doesn't feel any rougher than before. For $50 a side I would buy them all day long!
