Put a 1" lift on the rear of the blazer. I took my 2" blocks off and put a set of jagsthatrun.com solid aluminum 1" blocks out back. Wanted some more travel out of the suspension. I have a bolt on notch waiting, but I also felt the rear was sagging or lower than the front and wanted to gain some ground clearance for the traction bars that are being built.

Thanks, I should be getting my new rear tires in a day or two. Then my next update should be traction bars!

Thanks, it's a stock GM color. I saw it one day on a new suburban in the lot one day going to school, stopped and asked what the color code was. Shit that was back in '04ish...WOW. The tool salesman said "uh, that's gold" I just nodded and said thanks, I see that and got back in the blazer and drove off!

    anywho....more pics

    and new tires!

    thanks guys.

little update, put some toyo proxes TQs on the rear of the blazer. Now my wheel hop is gone, but when the trans shifts into 2nd the drive shaft hits the floor. It's hitting right where the pinion yoke is on the rear axle. Traction bars are my very next project for this thing!

well everything was going good. Then I saw it, my buddy cut the plates too short on the top.....instead of 4" from center to center on the bell cranks, it's 3.25" center to center. These means the bell cranks won't be hitting the right spot on the leafs......any thoughts on this issue? Really hate to be recutting the four pieces that cost the most time, but if it needs to be done it needs to be done.

I got my traction bars all welded up and ready for install. Just been too busy with work and fixing little things on the new daily to tear into the blazer.

I found my Optima yellow top was dead from not starting and driving my blazer for a month. It was at 4.73 volts. Bought a battery charger that works on AGM batteries. Charged for about 12 hours and she was kicking out 12.71 volts. Battery is 5 years old and running like a champ now.

Took her for a test drive and bought her a present.....installed two small led strips under the dash, was tried of my painted blue bulbs burning off back to white.

the blazer is not going any lower than she is now.....at least for now :)

The bars sadly have not been installed. I got pissed when my guy cut the first set of plates wrong and he had to redo them. I then had to cut the bottom hole off the plates for ground clearance. Then came fixing the new daily's shifting issues and front suspension. I plan to have them on by the first weekend of December so I can run it at the new local track against the Police departments that have drag cars (Beat the Heat).
