Project: 5th Time Must Be The Charm - Mex In Action

Came on here today for the first time in almost 2 years....and I got the bug again! lol

Talked to my girl/baby mama and we decided that I needed a hobby since I do not have one and I have way too much time on my hands. I am going to buy all the parts first before actually buying a 1st Gen S-10 Blazer in order to be able to have the suspension done and then be able to work on the body slowly within my small garage. Going with this approach since I live in an apartment with a one car garage, I think I can make this work.

Well if you don't know about my last project you can take a look at my sig. Keep posted!!

I followed your other build all the way until the end. What a shitty situation. I hope this one turns out well for you. I will be in here keeping an eye on the progress.

flnole78 - I def hope to finally be able to finish the Blazer that I have envisioned. I have had this vision since I was 16, 12 years laster I am still chugging along lol. It was a shitty situation to lose the last one the way I did but it could have been worse, I could have been almost done with the build. Thanks for the support!

I know you don't have the blazer yet but would you be ineterested in a Sir Michaels weld on 1st gen. rollpan with drop tag. It's brand new, primered and just sitting in my closet. Getting rid of my blazer and just need to get rid of parts. If interested let me know. I too followed your blazer and that was just crap of what that guy did.

I think I have found a Blazer that is local and in good condition. I am going to check it out today after work and hopefully it will be in my garage tonight. 1988 4.3 with about 170,000 miles. Price is only $850 (and it runs but with a lil smoke), maybe I can talk him down a little bit more.

Some progress. Interior is gutted and the rear hitch is removed, pain in my ass. Saw that the roof has a dent in it. Not sure if it will be cheaper to cut it and replace it or have it fixed, will cross that path when it comes time to paint.
