    Decent rear end gear?

I have swapped a 4.3L and its 5sp transmission out of a 91 2wd s10 into my 71 datsun. I found out that the stock rearend in my datsun has 4.375 gears. Im wondering if that would be ok with the s10 transmission? I dont know much about gear ratios and whats acceptable. Will i be high in the RPMs? Help educate me!

It should be fine some of the 4x4 guys run 4.56 gears. It might be much for the datsun, but would be fun just ripping the tires with the 4.3 and 5sp.

sweet. I was expecting a lot of burnouts and no traction due to how small and light the truck is. haha
