    V8 conversion

I never thought I would actually be posting something like this, but i found a hell of a deal i cant pass up. I have a guy i know giving me a 350SB for 150 bucks. and said a extra 200. he'd rebuild for me if i bought the rebuild kit. how about that? My question is when it comes time for dropping it in my S-15(i am buying)do the 2.8motor mounts work fine?

yes, the 2.8 mounts are just part of it though, you need to get the v8 conversion mounts, which bolt ON TOP of the 2.8 mounts. $50 thru summitracing.com or jegs.com

go to www.blazinlow.com/v8 for the part number

My friend paid over 350 bux for the be cool and it didnt solve his cooling problem...he still had to get external electric fans..

I actually run cooler than he does with my 88 monte carlo SS radiator I bought from Pep Boys and my 2 14" electric fans...plus the Be cool started leaking and its worth $0 now...

    just my 2 cents

    radiator

If you are running a high stall converter get the radiator for a stick. The radiator "cooling" coil in a radiator is actually there to heat up the tranny fluid in colder weather. Get a dedicated tranny cooler and save yourself a bunch of headaches.

    DooD?

First off, im not even talking about my truck. This happened to MY FRIEND'S TRUCK, so dont think Im personally biased against Be Cool Radiators. I really don't care that much! All I said is that its not worth the extra money for the Be Cool. I run 195 because I have a 195 thermo in there, my truck does not run hot.

So whats your deal - I make one comment against the radiator and the kit, and you take personal offense to that??? You're probably the oldest person on this board, and youre starting the little kid shit. Either chill out and enjoy the convo or bounce...

Well, I got my radiator with dual 14" fans with a fan switch with a temp, but It stays at 185 all the time, but I had to have a cooler temperature to set it too so it will turn off to get back up to operating temperature. I put it at 160. Sounds about right to me. But I didn't wire it to my igniton. So sometimes if run it for a long time, then kill it. The fans keep going for a while and kill my battery. Any suggests blazin it gets old. plus it makes my battery termals ugly. haha

And has for your "real blazer racing" or what ever. Just shut up. We don't want to hear your number blathering. 11.06 huh, scan your timeslip. Because I call bs until then. Give us some specs. All of them. Stop running your mouth, and prove it to us instead of throwing out numbers we might or might not beleive.

    Question

Hay Blazinlow, if you can please answer this question too...

I found a kit put together by those dudes that printed that V8 conversion Manual that summit sells. It has mounts, Headman Headers (EVEN THOU THE BOOK SAYS NOT TO GET HEADERS???) and it comes with New corvette aluminum radiator. They say it fits and cools?

    have heard of this kit...
    http://www.carshopinc.com/s10.shtml.
It sounds rather high but I have enough to by it and not be in dept. OR would you suggest somthing else, and/or what would be better?

P.S. I used to work at a daycare and I used this sight to get AWAY from that
